In the course of multiple ESSE lectures, CTF Contests take place.
The CTF Contest:
Students tackle problems in a series of real-world scenarios modeling all sorts of computer security problems where, to succeed, they must demonstrate a profound understanding of the roles and ramifications of cyber security in these situations.
Because the challenges are designed to teach, CTF requires contestants to integrate concepts, develop skills and learn to hack as they go.
To realize these contests a CTF Game Server is needed which manages the game during the contest.
In the course of this project the existing server should be extended and partially re-implemented.
We are looking for students who are interested in supporting this project on a longer run,
in example as part of their bachelor thesis or/and as an master internship.
It is possible to accomplish bachelor thesis as well as internships in the context of this project.
